On the 150th anniversary of Otto Mueller’s birth, the Münster-based LWL–Museum für Kunst und Kultur is organising a major exhibition dedicated to this Expressionist painter. The show presents his oeuvre in the context of his lifetime and the output of fellow artists, in particular, those of the ‘Die Brücke’ group such as Ernst Ludwig Kirchner and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff. It also highlights Mueller’s approach to nudes and nature, his keen interest in other cultures and his relationships with models and partners. On the 150th anniversary of Otto Mueller’s birth, the Münster-based LWL–Museum für Kunst und Kultur is organising a major exhibition dedicated to this Expressionist painter.
