Security and protection of your personal data

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal data you provide to us and to protecting it from unauthorised access. Therefore, we apply the utmost care and state-of-the-art security standards to ensure maximum protection of your personal data. As a limited partnership, we are subject to the provisions of the European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and the regulations of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG-neu). We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the regulations on data protection are observed both by us and by our external service providers.

Collection of general information

In the following, we inform you about the collection of personal data when using our website. The terms used in this privacy policy correspond to the definitions of Art. 4 DSGVO - https://dsgvo-gesetz.de/art-4-dsgvo/. The website https//galerieutermann.de is hosted by the internet service provider Strato. According to the provider, the server is located in Germany. With every access to this offer, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also referred to as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about your person. Among other things, the following information is collected: Name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website) and the IP address. Without this data, it would not be technically possible to deliver and display the contents of the website. In this respect, the collection of this data is absolutely necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. They help us to optimise the offer and the technology. We also reserve the right to check the log files retrospectively in the event of suspicion of illegal use of our offer.

Use of cookies

In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard drive and assigned to the browser you are using, and through which certain information flows to the body that sets the cookie. Cookies cannot execute programs or transfer viruses to your computer. They are used to make the website as a whole more user-friendly and effective. You can configure your browser settings according to your preferences and refuse to accept cookies: Most web browsers offer an option that restricts or completely prevents the storage of cookies. Please take into account that without cookies, the function and comfort of the website may be limited.

Secure data transmission

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use a state-of-the-art encryption process (SSL) via HTTPS.

Collection of personal data when contacting us

When contacting us by email (also via our website contact form), the data you provide (your email address and - if you provide this information in the text of your email to us - your name, postal address and telephone number, if applicable) will be stored by us in order to answer your questions and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data unless you expressly request this, e.g. for the purpose of answering your enquiry.

Newsletter

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an e-mail address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Only your e-mail address is required for sending the newsletter. The provision of further data is voluntary and may be used to address you personally. After your confirmation, we store your e-mail address for the purpose of sending you the newsletter. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 p. 1 lit. a DSGVO. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on for other purposes. You can revoke your consent to the storage of your e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. This newsletter is sent via the US-based service provider Mailchimp.

Newsletter tracking

Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels via the service provider Mailchimp. These tracking pixels are 1 pixel thumbnail files that are embedded in the newsletter and whose download is counted. This enables us to carry out statistical evaluations of the e-mail newsletter dispatch. For example, we can check whether the e-mail newsletter was delivered, whether the e-mail address still exists actively, whether and when the e-mail newsletter was opened and which links contained in the e-mail newsletter were called up. The click rate on the links contained in the newsletter is determined by creating links in the newsletter as tracking links and recording each click. This enables us to draw conclusions about the relevance of information presented and to develop the content of the newsletter accordingly. This personal data is also not passed on to third parties. Consent to the storage and use of data can be revoked at any time via a corresponding link contained in every newsletter.

Facebook Social Plug-in

We integrate plug-ins from the social network Facebook (address: 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA) on our websites. You can recognise the plug-ins - an overview can be found here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/Plug-ins/ - by the Like button or the Facebook logo. If you call up one of our websites with a Facebook plug-in, a direct connection is established with Facebook. We have no influence on the type and scope of the data that is collected, stored and processed by Facebook. We can only inform you according to our level of knowledge. Facebook is informed via the plug-in that you have accessed the corresponding website of our offer. This also applies to users who are not registered with Facebook. In this case, it is possible that Facebook stores the IP address. If you are a member of Facebook and logged in, accessing a website with a Facebook plug-in can be clearly assigned to your user account on Facebook. In addition, the plug-ins transmit all interactions, for example when you use the Like button or leave a comment. To prevent Facebook from storing data about you, please log out of Facebook before visiting our websites. You can also block the plug-ins with browser add-ons (e.g. "Facebook Blocker"). Information on the data protection provisions, the purpose and scope of data collection and data processing, as well as the settings options for protecting your privacy at Facebook can be found here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.php.

The new data protection statement will then apply the next time you visit our website.
